Responding to Emails Over iChat Here's yet another example of the tight integration between Panther's applications. If you're logged onto iChat and you receive an email in Mail, Mail displays a green available status indicator next to messages from people in your iChat buddy list who are currently online and whose addresses are in Address Book. You can send the person an instant message, rather than replying to the email by clicking the status indicator. In order to see the -person's status, his or her email address and iChat name must match the information in Address Book. If you -don't see the Buddy List column in Mail, choose View > Columns > Buddy Availability ![]() Material excerpted with permission from lynda.com/books, an imprint of Peachpit Press. lynda.com/books is a registered trademark of lynda.com, Inc.
